Help optimize your breeding performance
Discover the BOVILIS® reproductive vaccine portfolio featuring options for protection against respiratory pathogens and reproductive diseases.
Reproduction is one of the most important factors affecting the success of cattle operations. Failure to conceive and early pregnancy failure are the primary causes of calf loss and herd culling. Increased exposure to infectious agents can reduce reproductive performance.1
Vaccination against bovine viral diarrhea virus and bovine rhinotracheitis virus has been shown to protect against abortion and fetal infection.1 Vaccination also decreases the need for the use of antibiotics, which, in turn, reduces the risk of antimicrobial resistance.
The Merck Animal Health BOVILIS® line of reproductive vaccines can be used prior to breeding as an aid in reduction of abortion and in prevention of fetal infection. It is the only vaccine line that offers protection against fetal infection beyond the first trimester of pregnancy.*
*Always read and follow label instructions to ensure the selected product is suitable for the animal to be vaccinated. Vaccination may not protect every animal that gets vaccinated.
