Helping you stay one step ahead of clostridial risks
Discover the BOVILIS® clostridial vaccine portfolio featuring options for 8- and 9-way coverage against clostridia.
The natural habitats of clostridia (anaerobic, gram-positive organisms that are found either as living cells or dormant spores) are soils and the intestinal tracts of animals.1 Pathogenic strains or their toxins may be acquired by susceptible animals, either by wound contamination or ingestion.1 Clostridial diseases strike quickly and often fatally, making them a constant threat to successful cattle production in many parts of the world.1
Vaccination decreases the need for the use of antibiotics, which, in turn, reduces the risk of antimicrobial resistance.
The Merck Animal Health BOVILIS® line of clostridial vaccines include extensive and flexible coverage against important clostridial pathogens. The portfolio contains the only 8- and 9-way clostridial vaccines available in Canada that include coverage against tetanus.*
*Always read and follow label instructions to ensure the selected product is suitable for the animal to be vaccinated. Vaccination may not protect every animal that gets vaccinated.
